We have at least three classes a night on a Thursday at The Lever Club in Port Sunlight.

8pm: Beginners (upper floor) and Improvers (main floor)

9pm: Intermediates (main floor)

9.45pm - 11.30pm: Free dancing, grab a partner and try out your new moves

For beginners, Paul and Georgie will introduce you to the basic steps such as the mambo, side-to-side and will go over the basic turns that you need to know before you can progress. Sometimes they will add on a second class for those people who are ready to progress to the improvers class and need a few more steps.

For improvers, Frank and Di will show you moves such as sombrero, triple turn, titanic and many more. This class focuses on making sure that the men can lead these moves and that the women start to introduce more styling when they dance.

The intermediates class is also taken by Frank and Di and introduces more complex turn patterns. These may be learnt over a number of weeks so there is plenty of opportunity to practise.
