Q: What style of salsa do you teach?
We teach New York style salsa. This is danced in many clubs in the North West.
Q: What level do I need to be to come to your classes?
Anything! For complete beginners, we're ready to teach you what you know. For the most advanced, come and teach us something new!
Q: What should I wear?
Something you feel comfortable in and that allows you to move around. You won't be turned upside down (not for a few weeks anyway) but you can expect to need to turn quickly. You may want to make sure the shoes you are wearing are not too 'grippy'. Most people buy dance shoes when they have been coming for a few weeks.
Q: Do I need a partner?
No and that is one of the best things about salsa. You can dance with anyone. It has traditionally been the men that ask people to dance and the guys at our club are very good in trying to make sure everyone gets up to dance. However, ladies make sure you badger the men that you want to dance with, it makes them feel loved!
Q: Do I have to come to the classes?
If you just want to come and dance, pop along at around 9.45pm and they'll be a good mix of salsa music waiting for you.
Q: How much does it cost?
Coming to La Salsa Fiesta is a bargain at just £3 per person or £5 per couple.
